Mid Century in the Dunes

This beachfront home brings together mid-century influence and a distinctly personal approach to living by the coast.

Designed around its oceanfront site, the house opens itself fully to the beach while maintaining privacy and shelter where it’s needed. A restrained mix of stone, timber, glass, and metal gives the home durability and texture suited to its coastal environment. A thin linear roof and exposed steel framing establish clear architectural lines, while floor-to-ceiling glazing strengthens the connection between interior spaces and the outdoors.

The beachfront façade is largely glazed, framing uninterrupted ocean views and drawing natural light deep into the plan. At ground level, a U-shaped layout wraps around a sheltered central courtyard, creating a protected outdoor space away from prevailing winds. Deck and pool areas extend the living spaces further, supporting outdoor dining, entertaining, and everyday life by the sea.
